Drobo Update

Just thought I would let you all know that Drobo reacted like lightning and sent a brand new unit out to me

Special mention of thanks goes to Valerie K in their support team in the USA, a good bit of human support goes a long way........other companies take note

Their customer service if very good despite anything else

So far so good, all is well

Lets hope it stay that way

Thanks for the update on this, Drew. I'm at a point where my needs dictate a more robust storage/backup solution, and the Drobo seems to be the answer. I did hesitate a tiny bit though because of your previous stories about Drobo, but it's time to move forward.

if you don't have a photoblog ... if you do not mean anything to a public audience ... if you'r not google referenced... then i doubt drobo would be so fast to replace the unit....


there is just one way to backup:
RAID 1 with 3 drives or more (3 times or more the same exact data ... yes)
